Valarie Rizidlo

At The Barrington School of Kingsdale, our mission is to give parents the confidence and freedom to pursue their dream careers knowing their children are safe, happy, and thriving in a nurturing environment. We provide a warm, engaging space where curiosity is encouraged, learning is joyful, and every child is treated like family.
 
As the Director, I bring over 27 years of experience working with young children and a lifelong passion for early education. I studied Early Childhood Development at both Columbus State and the University of Cincinnati, earning degrees from each. My background has given me a deep understanding of how children grow, learn, and develop — and it inspires me every day to create an environment that supports their success.
 
Outside the classroom, I’m an avid reader and love sharing stories with children. I’ve built quite the collection of children’s books over the years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a child light up during story time. One of my favorite things about Barrington is the sense of community we’ve built — from our fun “Pies with Parents” day to our annual school picnic, these moments bring families and staff together in the best way. And whenever I can steal a moment, you’ll find me joining in yoga with the children, sharing in their laughter and calm energy.

At Kingsdale, we truly believe in creating more than a school — we create a home away from home where children, families, and teachers all grow together.
