Meet Our Director:
Oktober Sheikh

My name is Oktober and I am honored to serve as the Director here at our Columbus location. Early childhood education has always been my passion, and I am dedicated to creating a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. 

I began my journey with Barrington as an infant teacher, where I quickly realized the importance of building strong foundations for a child’s earliest years. From there, I had the opportunity to grow within the company as a traveling Assistant Director, supporting classrooms and families across many locations. Those experiences helped me truly embrace The Barrington Way—a philosophy of care that values going above and beyond for every child and family we serve. 

Today, I am proud to call the Columbus location home, where I can live out that passion every day by supporting our amazing staff, partnering with families, and ensuring that each child feels seen, valued, and celebrated. 

Outside of my work, I am a wife of 12 years and the proud mom of three beautiful daughters, who inspire me daily to give my very best to the children and families in our care.
