Barrington School of Jerome

Meet Our Director:
Elaina Rivera

I am thrilled to begin my journey as the Director of Barrington School of Jerome. With over ten years of experience in early childhood education, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles—including teacher, assistant director, and director—in both the Washington, D.C. and Columbus areas. Each role has deepened my commitment to working with children and supporting their families through these critical early years.

My passion lies in creating environments where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn. I believe that early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong learning, and I strive to ensure that every child in our care is given the tools and encouragement to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. With the majority of my background being in Montessori education I believe in fostering independence within children and helping them find their passion for learning and exploring.

I also believe in the power of relationships—between educators and families, between teachers and children, and among the children themselves. One of my goals as director is to build strong, trusting connections with every family. I view our school as a community, and I am committed to working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to support each child’s unique journey.

When I am not working, I love to spend time with my husband and four year old son, Connor. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends and watching football! I am so excited to be apart of the Barrington School community and I look forward to welcoming you into our community as well! I look forward to meeting all of you!
