Apple Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup cold buttermilk
½ cup butter, melted and cooled
¾ cup shredded cheddar
¾ cup chopped apples
Directions:
Preheat oven to 475. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar
and salt. Set aside
In a medium bowl, combine cold buttermilk and the slightly cooled butter. Stir
with a spatula until combined and small clumps form
Add buttermilk mixture to dry ingredients and stir with rubber spatula until just
combined. Gently fold in the cheddar cheese and chopped apples
Drop the batter onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 12-14 minutes
*Makes 12 biscuits
