Each month, we focus on a character trait that defines strong social-emotional and interpersonal skills. We feature special books each month that help us take a closer look at each characteristics.

January

Empathy Understanding and being sensitive to the experience and feelings of another.


February

Integrity Having strong moral principles and holding true to our beliefs of what is right.


March

Confidence Appreciating one's own abilities and qualities.


April

Creativity The use of the imagination or original ideas.


May

Grit Perseverance for long-term and meaningful goals.


June

Honesty Staying truthful even when it's the hard choice.


July

Courage Mental or moral strength to withstand fear or difficulty.


August

Optimism Hopefulness and confidence about the future or the positive outcome of something.

Tolerance Appreciating opinions and behaviors that are different from our own.

Curiosity A strong desire to know, learn, understand, or discover more.

Kindness Considering others by being friendly or offering a helpful act.
