Cognitive Growth

From infancy through school age, our classrooms are filled with opportunities to explore, question, and discover. Our infants' classrooms place a heavy emphasis on providing continual opportunities for interaction. Preschoolers discover music, dance, yoga and cooking classes.Older children engage in differentiated activities, with a focus on kindergarten readiness skills such as beginning writing, letter recognition, and phonics.

Small class sizes mean every child is seen and celebrated. Every Barrington location has an on-site chef preparing organic meals that are nutritious and fun. “Fuel feeds growing bodies.” As founder Jessie Hoffman explains “I have made it my mission for all the Barrington Schools to create a warm, nurturing, safe and healthy environment for our children. We have paid attention to all the details in our food program… and we feel the quality of food and diet helps fuel a child’s entire day and impacts learning.”
